So, do you think easier Portuguese or Spanish?

I will be relocating to Rio de Janeiro for two years. I lived in Porto Alegre for 18 months 10 years ago and I speak Portuguese. My wife and three young children, however, do not speak the language. I am concerned about finding a nice, safe place to live while we are there.

You know that song “whats that coming over the hill? Is it a monster? Is it a monster?” I love the guitar sound in that and am just wondering what they used to achieve both that and the solo sounds as I can’t seem to get them on my pedals or amp.
    Cheers

    Y no comprendo,
    Porque en tan poco tiempo
Te volviste dueña de mis pensamientos.

    Y hoy me decidí a decirte que…

    Te amo de una forma
    que diariamente me sorprende,
    Te extraño como si hubieses
    Sido mia eternamente,
    Que no te extrañe
    si un dia de estos
    te sorprendo con un beso
    y te enamoro,
Te estoy amando de una forma inevitable
y de pasión me vuelvo loco.

Te amo tanto que esta vez
Me decidí a ser mas valiente,
    No respondo de mis actos

Pinnacle Studio – 12 is working perfect on XP & 7 It’s the video file, there is a index file for every video file i have.
I removed them and everything is fine. But I open any file to pinnacle, all the index files return. I played around to know this is not a windows folder problem. I also went to pinnacle settings, found nothing for index folders. Thanks Dave L.

alright so the directions of my homework say:
Give the three English translations for the following verbs.

And they give me a list of verbs. Now I’m not trying to sound like a complete idiot, because usually in spanish I know what i’m doing, but im so lost. We were only give 1 way to say each word.
So could possibly help me out?
(For example, one of the words is Respondo)

Thanks if you can help at all.
I would ask my teacher, but she just had her baby and this substitute isn’t very good.

I need to put the verbs in this paragraph in the past tense, but have no idea how to do it. The verbs are in parantheses. Could someone guide me to a chart on the internet on how to do this, or maybe actually do it and tell me how you did it. Thanks a million in advance.

In response to my host family,

¡Hola! Gracias~~

Grammar & awkward phrasing help would be awesome, thanks (:
Also, if she’s been signing her letters with “un beso”, should I do the same?

Hello! I just started seeing a Brazilian man. He is really lovely… but I think he says bad things to his friends about me. I am worried because we have been dating for only three months (in Australia) and he is asking me to move in with me, talking about marriage and children. I know I should not think this- but could he be interested in getting a VISA, and not really interested in me? Because in Australian culture, relationships move much slower usually. And also because I feel like there is something wrong with the situation. He is nice to me, but not nice behind my back.

I would like to know if it is true because I am not sure if I should trust him. Please help me decide if I am being paranoid, or if I do have something to worry about. Thank you so much :)

Here is a conversation he had with a friend of his. It is only my boyfriend speaking:

Agora sexta e sabado posso sair.
    Nao trampo mais de fds.
    so chamar.
    ….
no fds tenho um dia com ela e um dia com os.

A different conversation with the same friend:

sim pra variar rsrs. a coitada so trabalha!!!

And here is a conversation he had with a girl he was having sex with one week before he asked me to be his girlfriend. The girl is Brazilian also. I know it is not a really bad conversation because I can speak a little Portuguese, but I would like to know if there is any flirting between them, or anything I should worry about:

her} vou estar livre me fala se vai dar p vc! bj
Him} foi mal, to trampand. Ja te respondo 1 sec
Him} meu anjo, assim w chegar em casa eu te falo com certeza ok? Umas 5pm.
Her} ok, fico no aguardo! mas n esqueci de mim ok?

If you could help me translate so I could understand better that would be amazing!!! Thanks guys so much!!! :)
    And this:

a (my name) vai vir pra minha casa direto domir aqui… ela disse q ta morta!!!! nem vou poder sair hoje pra esperar ela…amanha to off o dia inteiro, se quiser fazer algo da um toq (ela vai trampar direto tb)
Mal ae, mas to morrendo de do dela, rsrs

Thats everything sorry haha! I’m sure I’m just being paranoid, but can’t hurt to ask.

    ———————————————————————————————-

El lobo dice: Good afternoon, Little Red Riding Hood.
    Respondo: No entiendo.
A dondé vas?

    Grandma: Me gusta, gracias!
LRRH: Abuelita, qué ojos más grandes tienes!
Grandma: Si, son para ver mejor!
LRRH: Abuelita, qué orejas más grandes tienes!
Grandma: Si, son para oírte mejor!
LRRH: Abuelita, qué dientes más grandes tienes!
Grandma: Si, son para comerte mejor!

Yo grito. Súbitamente, me despierto.

    THE ENGLISH VERSION

I ride my horse through the forest.

I see a house in the centre of the forest. The door is open. I’m curious, I decide to explore the house. I walk into the kitchen. There are 3 cups of coffee on the table. I drink the biggest cup. It’s very hot! I drink the second cup. Quite hot! I drink the smallest cup. Perfect! I finish the entire cup.

In the living room, there are 3 chairs. The biggest chair is below the painting. The medium-sized chair is facing the TV and the smallest chair is beside the windows. I sit on the smallest chair and break it. It is lousy!

Later, I go to the 2nd floor. In the room, there are 3 beds. I am sleepy. I lie down on the smallest bed to take a nap. Suddenly, I wake up and see a bear in front of me. I get up and run out of the house!

I meet a wolf. It has big eyes, ears and teeth.
The wolf says: Good afternoon, Little Red Riding Hood
I say: I don’t understand. Do you speak Spanish?
The wolf, a little irritated says, Good afternoon, Little Red Riding Hood. How are you? Where to?
    My grandmother’s house, I say.

Finally, I reach my grandmother’s house.
    LRRH: Hello grandma, happy birthday!

    My grandma opens the present.

Grandma: I like it, thank you!
LRRH: Grandma, what big eyes you have!
Grandma: Yes, yes, to see you better!
LRRH: Grandma, what big ears you have!
Grandma: Yes, to hear you better!
LRRH: Grandma, what big teeth you have!
Grandma: Yes, to eat you up!

I scream. Suddenly, I wake up.
I am in class. I fell asleep during class.

After the class ends, I return home and tell my mother about my strange dream.

So I was a conversation online with this girl who appears to only speak spanish. I speak a little spanish because I’m in an advanced 7th grade spanish class and have been taking spanish for a year or two. It got to the point where I can’t really talk to her so I waited a while. It’s been a few months and I feel kind of bad about it so I want to send her a message apologizing to her. I just want to make sure my spanish is correct so will you help me tweak it? The thing about Lucky Star is what we were talking about before. Okay, so here’s the English.

“I’m sorry. I haven’t responded because I am a Spanish student and I don’t know how to respond. I know some Spanish but I’m not a Spanish expert. Lucky Star is about the lives of these high school girls, it sounds a bit boring but it’s really good. It doesn’t start to get really great until episode 5 or 6.

    Do you speak any English?

See ya, (insert my name) ”

    And here’s the Spanish

“Lo siento. No respondo porque estoy una estudiante de español y no sé como responder. Sé español pero no soy un experto de español. Lucky Star sobre las vidas de estas chicas de preparatoria, suena un aburrir pequeño pero es tan bueno. No comienza a conseguir gran hasta episodio 5 o 6.

    ¿Habla español?

    Nos vemos, (my name here).”
